Morning
I don’t usually write my blog posts at 5 am in the morning, but seeing as I’ve been up for an hour already, here I am armed with coffee starting my day. Morning folks!
For the past few days I’ve developed this internal clock that screams “Wake up Adele!” around 4.30 am. Someone please tell it to shut up because I really need some sleep. Though usually a morning person, being up this early is pushing it a little too far.
What about you… are you a night owl or a morning person?

I am definitely a night owl. Would happily live getting up at 11am and going to be at 1 am or 2am… or even 3am… but unfortunately the world doesn’t work that way so I try and go to bed earlyish [around midnight] and get up at a decent hour [8am]. I do get periods of time thought that I wake up really early like you have been lately – I’ve been told by a few people it can be linked to hormones, but I’m not sure about that one…
Amanda | February 24th, 2010I would love to be a night owl and creep into bed closer to 1-2 am. My husband who needs to get up early in the morning does not appreciate it when I do so. Also, my little ones tend to be up at 6am (ugh), living off a few hours of sleep doesn’t agree with me anymore. I find that I work better at night, I’m more focussed and creative. Its all about finding a balance.
Tara | February 24th, 2010i’m really not either. i’m more like a day person. in a perfect world i’d go to bed at a nice reasonable hour and sleep until eight every morning.
julie green | February 24th, 2010Absolutely a morning person. Took me until halfway through college to figure it out. Now I get to work at around 4:30, and am alone an able to focus until at least 7:30 when the other people in my office start coming in. It’s so much easier for me to get up and work than to stay up late. Late nights, my eyes get tired and I’m not nearly as focused.
Very often, my 12-yr-old girls will ask me to get them up early to finish work because they have noticed they are more focused then as well!
FormFire Glassworks | February 24th, 2010Good morning!
I’m a night owl. Husband and daughter are the same way and all three of us have been like this all our lives. We have never been able to get up earlier than 10am in the morning (unless my daughter is teething or feeling sick then she may wake up around 9am).
We go to bed around midnight (or later). We’ll have to readjust and learn how to become morning ppl when our daughter starts school in a few years – that may be a toughie!
For now we’re happy being the only family with lights on in the family room past midnight. We’re either playing puzzles or washing dishes in the kitchen :)
