There appears to be this collective relief out there as we say goodbye to February 2010. For a short month, it seemed so long didn’t it?
Despite it’s up and downs, February taught me a lot. I don’t know about you, but whenever things aren’t going so great, I always need to find a positive in there in order for me to move forward.
Now that March is upon us it’s time to start setting up my goals for this month. If I were to look at what was achieved in February in terms of tangible goals, I could easily feel as though I failed. Yet I now realize I didn’t.
February may of driven me to some personal lows but it also forced me to take an honest and hard look at what the hell was going on. As a result, I came out stronger and happier than ever. That my friends was the best thing I could ever of done for my company.
So as I set up my goals to grow modernemotive this month, I’m going to make sure I nurture myself too. Sure, I want my company to be running at it’s best but I need to make sure I am too so that we bloom together.
Hello March. I’m ready for you!
Are you ready? What are your goals this month?

I feel like I could have written this blog…it is EXACTLY how I feel.
Nicole Underwood | March 1st, 2010Yea to March, new month, fresh start!
The year has moving at such a quick pace or maybe it’s just me. Thanks to you I plan to nurture myself more. I was reading through your blog yesterday and definitely plan on reclaiming my weekends and working “normal” business hours. Thank you.
My @ tha Hotness | March 1st, 2010i love march. the promise of spring, the crisp air, flowers blooming and leaves showing up on all those wintery trees. it always feels like a fresh start to me, and now with my own business to keep running, I know it’ll be a month of busy buzzing around getting things done. i can’t wait to launch some new spring goodies and easter treats for the kiddos. yay for march!
lesley [smidgebox] | March 1st, 2010March is all about change for us, it’s all about moving forward as well with everything that we’ve learned so far. Spring is near and our spirits are excited about the prospect of new endeavors.
Michelle from Holley & Gill | March 1st, 2010It’s funny, maybe we’ve all got the same thing in mind right now?? I’m working on my wholesale right now too and reorganizing and trying to really focus on the tasks at hand.
I also did the goal topic last month at my Etsy team meeting last month. Check out the blog almost entirely devoted to quotes about goals for a little pick me up! (-; http://reddinghandmade.blogspot.com/2010/02/goals.html
Chrystal | March 1st, 2010Feb was going great for me and then March 1st sucked…so I am taking stock and realising that the rest of March is all that matters. This month I will get the camera out and restart project 365 over here in Bonnie Scotland. It does make you look at things…and see the beauty in the small things. I rebranded byself in Feb..so instead of a design student I am a designer…and instead of an office/study/spare room I had a studio…I even designed a logo that I used on all my degree submissions on March 1st…feeling like I was finally going to be confident enough to be an interior designer….only to have my tutor say…take that logo thing off your work! And my decision to live life to the full and never say no to an opportunity last month…where I did stand up in a comedy club for the first time…wasn’t such a great idea after all as now all my friends think I’m an attention seeker! and they told me so on 1st March.
julie | March 2nd, 2010So the unconfident me spent all 1st March thinking what exactly am I doing, as if I go one step forward I end up 5 steps backwards.
So here’s to 2nd March….and all the rest of March as well. I am a designer. I am aceing my degree. I was great at stand up, the other comedians said…but won’t do it again. I have a studio…though sometimes friends will have to sleep in it on a blow up bed!! But to the friends that know me…I have rebranded me. I am what I am .
Adele…just go for it as you have the talent and we all love your stuff.
