My long term goals for modernemotive always extended beyond just paper goods. So, as I sit here at somewhat of a crossroads with my company, I’ve been exploring what avenues are currently viable (from a financial and experience perspective) and I began to realize that my innocent little tagline – ecofriendly paper goods – was pigeon holing me. Perhaps more so as requests are coming in for design services beyond what I currently offer. As a result, I’m rethinking my tagline. It’s still important for me to include the ecofriendly aspect. Even though my services will be expanding (more on this another day), I will still be incorporating the eco factor in there when possible.
So, here’s what I’ve come up with so far. I’m inclined to go with the first option.
What are your thoughts? Any other suggestions?
UPDATE: A Twitter friend, Sabine of La Marquise des Anges, suggested the last tagline which I’m kind of liking. I can’t decide!

I like #1. “Ecofriendly” seems a better descriptor for print than for design. It is also the sleekest and simplest.
I reeeeaaaallly like “more than just a paper company”
Hi.
Hmmmm, I’m leaning toward the last one; just rolls off the tongue much sweeter :)
And wondering if you might consider “Eco-friendly Design Studio”? There’s great flexibility in the last one and I’m not sure how the keywords might rank and something to consider.
Good luck. I made the leap nearly 4 years ago after being laid off as a magazine art director. There’s always something more to figure out! – whew…
*hugs* for support :)

I like 4 and 5 best.
I’m going to totally screw up your comment poll here but I love the last one: paper goods and design studio. From the posts I’ve read about your re-birthing your business, it’s the tagline that fits best to me, especially since you were looking to outsource some printing. Plus, it has an air of prestige, hehe. Also, the ‘more than a paper (goods) company’ line works well too.
:)
I actually like the little line you wrote after your examples “more than just a paper company!”
Definitely “ecofriendly design + print studio”. As I read each one, it came out most naturally.
it makes sense too since during the creating process, the designing happens before the printing :)
happy to hear that your business is doing well and growing!
Good Luck with everything :)
p.s. Yay T-dot!!!
I think I like “ecofriendly design + paper goods” the best. I think it could be the most versatile description of what you do, while still maintaining leeway for future projects/ additions!
I agree with Sabine (isn’t she wonderful?) and I would do it just the way you have it here with your logo as ‘design & print’ or ‘print & design’ with the tagline in s ript
hm, this is a tough decision! i think i like the first 2. i think another option is to drop the “studio” and just have “ecofriendly print + design”. i’m excited for all this re-thinking and re-vamping you’re doing!!!
I like “ecofriendly design + print studio” and “ecofriendly paper goods + design studio”.
I feel your pain.. I’ve been wondering off and on about the tagline I’ve had since I started as a blog in 2006 “indie finds for your uncommon life”. Now that I’ve just opened an online store as well, specializing in handmade & ecofriendly goods, I’m wondering if that tagline still fits or if it needs a revamp. So tricky!
I like tag line #2 – flows the best and makes most sense to me. :)
another vote for the first one! agree with formfire glassworks about “design + print”
I LOVE them all but I really like the last one … you are so sweet. thank you for the mention.

I love the second one…
ECOFRIENDLY DESIGN + PRINT STUDIO!
I would choose either 1 or 2 – paper goods doesn’t necessarily sound like stationery items. For me, it sounds like you might have plates and other tableware. 1 is probably the best because it sounds better out loud. ‘Design and Print’ doesn’t roll off the tongue as well.
I like “ecofriendly design + print studio”
