About those to-do lists…

In yesterday’s post, I mentioned that I still write up my to-do lists on paper (I carry my favorite notebooks – Moleskins – everywhere!). I’ve tried the digital route before, added the apps to my iPhone and signed up for online services such as TeuxDeux but they all remain untouched. While I think they are all fantastic ideas, for me, I feel as though so much of my life is already digitized, that some things, such as the simple to-do list, need to remain just that – simple. I don’t want to navigate to a site or fire up an app, have to remember passwords or otherwise… for me, taking a pen and striking it off is all that’s needed.

What about you? Are you a paper or digital to-do lister? For the paper folk like myself, do you buy your to-do lists in notepad form?

P.S. For some reason, yesterday’s post didn’t show up in Google Reader (hopefully this one does!). Sorry about that. For all of those that aren’t following me on Twitter or Facebook, you may have missed my first ever free printable PDFThe Tick Off Already List. Go get yours!

I’m with you…have tried to go with digital lists but just can’t give up my paper and pen. Love to cross off and check off just for the sheer sense of accomplishment ~ something that the digital side just doesn’t seem to satisfy. I use several notebooks…but mostly ‘moleskin’ for all my client work and ‘whitelines’ for everyday lists and notes.

I’m with you on this one! I do a lot of stuff digitally, and maybe it’s just because I don’t have a smart-phone, so it’s hard for me to constantly keep a digital to-do list with me, but I love the satisfaction of physical scratching off my “done” projects with a pen and paper.

I prefer paper as well. I still carry around notebooks with lists and notes to myself, but oftentimes lists are just made on post-it notes leftover from my wedding!

I am now digital all the way! I use TaskPaper on both my iPhone and my Macs at home and work. I love that they sync up and because I always have my phone, my list is with me wherever I go. With paper lists, I found myself spedibg lots of time writing and re-writing. With a digital list, it’s a constantly updated list.

I’m all about paper! And while I would love it to be on beautiful paper, it seems that it’s most efficient when it’s on ugly little notepads that I don’t mind ripping papers out of… :)

Definitely a paper person! Just discovered the moleskine BOOK organiser! I really want one, but they’re sold out everywhere!

I’m paper all the way. The satisfaction of crossing off an item does not compare with merely pressing a delete key / strikethrough etc. On the negative side, I’m often full of post-its and the like, but oh well…

I agree! the list has to be on paper….there is some extremely satisfying ( if not primal) about crossing it off the list. I like getting a few things done and then starting a whole new list :)

I also write down my to-do lists! I have one main notebook with ideas, sketches, to-do lists, etc. Yesterday I just purchased a set of mini journals so that I can keep one in my purse as well.
