My new coworker…

… Guitar Hero! We’re only a few weeks into the partnership but we’ve been having a blast.

Allow me to boost my own wee ego too and say I’m pretty damn good as well. It’s the perfect distraction when I need to break up the day, have a creative block or otherwise. Hmm… I wonder if I can write it off as a business expense?

I love this thing!

What fun things to do throughout the day to help you break through creative blocks or give yourself a wee break from the norm?

I take a break and walk up our street. It’s at the base of a mountain so it gets the blood going for sure!

nice to meet you, new co-worker!

love me some guitar hero but, only when i’m alone; too self conscious to play in front of anyone (even my husband) *blush, blush*. other than that, i’m at the office all day and at my desk so i frequently sift through my google reader to take a break!

I must admit I’m terrible at Guitar Hero! No coordination whatsoever, but it’s great fun!

I like to go for a jog, or read a good book. There’s also a cooking show called ‘Ready, Steady, Cook’ that’s very addictive and a good way to take a break.

My favourite way to break up the day is to watch The Martha Stewart Show which is on in the early afternoon each weekday over here. I find it great to get out of my currently headspace and be inspired by her simple projects and “good things”.

I’d love to try guitar hero one day – ive heard so many great things about it, but never had the chance to play!

Haha, I love it! I think I need one of these, if only we had something to play it on!

Sometimes I like to bake, or even just stop to make a nice lunch and put some music on to hum along to. Or I’ll listen to a podcast, something that gets me laughing or crying usually. Sometimes it’s just all about stepping away from the computer, sewing machine, drawing desk, etc and shaking myself up a bit, you know?
